About Keaton Ryon
Keaton Ryon is the pseudonym of a writer based in San Diego, drawn to the margins where science, myth, and imagination meet. The work often follows questions that resist easy answers, ideas that live just beyond orthodoxy where the unknown presses hardest against the known.
The debut book, Abyssal Sapience, is a work of speculative nonfiction exploring deep time, hidden minds, and the oceanic unknown. It weaves cognitive science, ancient myth, and philosophical inquiry into a meditation on what it means to encounter intelligence beyond the human.
Keaton is also at work on a first novel, a Southern Gothic crime thriller that twists family secrets, buried histories, and betrayals into an interwoven narrative with a shocking conclusion. Future projects will continue to cross genres, spanning speculative nonfiction, fiction, and hybrid forms. All are united by a fascination with the strange, the hidden, and the transformative.
